During a Game Developers Conference presentation today, Deadly Premonition executive producer Yasuhiro Wada announced that the cult hit will make its way to western PlayStation 3s.
“We faced some challenges… We weren’t able to release the full experience” that was intended, he said (via Gamasutra). Due to this, the game “was not released on the PS3 in the West.”
The game has its weaknesses, admitted Wada. He hopes to that this will change – hinting at an enhanced PlayStation 3 version.
“We’re working on a PS3 release,” he said. “We still have a few hurdles to overcome, but hopefully we’ll be able to show you something at E3.”
Wada also announced that he is working on another title with Deadly Premonition director Swery at his new studio Toybox. He hopes to have more information on that come E3, as well.
