Sequels to last year’s Pokemon Black and Pokemon White were announced on this week’s episode of Japanese TV program Pokemon Smash. This was the big announcement Game Freak‘s Junichi Masuda told us to look out for earlier this week.
Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 are the first numbered games in the Pokemon mainline handheld series. Both are due for release on DS this June in Japan. The game’s official teaser site went live shortly following its announcement, which shows its two legendary mascots in full view.
