One Piece: Kaizoku Musou ships 650,000 on day one

Namco Bandai has another winner on its hands with One Piece: Kaizoku Musou. The Tecmo Koei crossover project saw first day shipments of over 650,000 units.

To compare, Namco Bandai’s most recent big-shipper, Tales of Xillia, shipped 500,000 units on day one.

One Piece: Kaizoku Musou, developed by Dynasty Warriors studio Omega Force, launched for PlayStation 3 today in Japan.

We’ll see how much of those shipments sell come next Wednesday, when the latest Media Create sales figures come in.
