Musician names Metal Gear Solid 5

The next Metal Gear Solid?

The next Metal Gear Solid is in development. But Kojima Productions hasn’t said if it will be called Metal Gear Solid 5. But if Umar Arar, a “freelance guitarist,” is anyone to go by, it will be.

The musician posted on his Facebook today: “Got an awesome career opportunity to work on the soundtrack for Metal Gear Solid 5. One problem. Gotta work out in California and Japan.”

As cited by Official PlayStation Magazine UK, who discovered the post, searching his name doesn’t turn up much. Arar shows up in a few videos, and a guest turn on stage with 3 Doors Down. He also did work on a video game called Devil Bunny for Myth Studios. That said, how he landed such a huge gig could come off as questionable.

Within the contents of the initial wall post’s conversation, Arar says the job would conflict with his family. “I’d be leaving them for God knows how long, and neither me or Laura are happy with that part.”
