It’s confirmed. Nintendo of America announced today Xenoblade Chronicles, developed by Baten Kaitos developer Monolith Software, will release in the U.S. in April next year.
The game puts players in the shoes of weapons researcher Shulk, who must confront the Mechon by wielding the ancient Monado blade—a blade with the ability to see the future, and the only weapon effective against the Mechon.
Players are able to customize their characters’ weapons and armor, including headgear, boots and gloves. You’ll gain experience points in battle and level-up your characters.
The game features a “vast open world” filled with additional challenges and side quests.
Xenoblade Chronicles will be available exclusively through U.S. GameStop locations and on Nintendo.com when it launches for $49.99 next year.
