The Japanese beta for Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online will launch sometime around the “period of chocolate,” Square Enix teased at Jump Festa this weekend.
We take it they’re referring to Valentine’s Day, when we all give heart-shaped boxes of chocolate to those we care for.
Dragon Quest X will ship with six jobs. At Jump Festa’s stage event, producer Yosuke Saito and director Jin Fujizawa teased additional jobs, some unexpected for the series, to arrive after launch.
The internally-developed MMORPG is coming to both Wii and Wii U. Asked about the differences between the two versions, Saito said that both are fun, but that the Wii U version is “extremely beautiful.”
Square Enix has not yet shared screenshots of the Wii U version.
Thanks, Famitsu.
