Square Enix has claimed this winter to be a “Winter of RPGs.” It’s launching a new campaign on PlayStation Network to bring three of its biggest games to the PSone Classics service over the next month.
On November 8, Square Enix will release Chrono Cross, the highly-praised sequel to Chrono Trigger, on the PlayStation Store. Two weeks later, on November 22, Final Fantasy V will release. And finally, on December 6, Final Fantasy VI will launch.
“While you’re staying inside and out of the cold, icky weather, why not fire up your PS3 and play some classic RPGs?” asks Square Enix product manager Charles McCarter.
I can’t think of any reason not to.
