The Silent Hill: HD Collection, which includes both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 digitally remastered in high-definition, willl launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 24, Konami has announced.
The collection, as mentioned in today’s press release, will include “new voiceovers,” but doesn’t hint at whether or not the original voices will indeed make a return.
In February, Konami will release the first PlayStation Vita title in the series. Developed by WayForward, Silent Hill: Book of Memories centers around a strange book, inside of which is your “entire life story and all of your memories.” When you alter what’s written, you can change the past. In Book of Memories, you’ll write your own history, and do so with friends in the franchise’s first-ever co-op mode. Check out new screenshots of the game at the gallery.
Finally, in March, Konami will launch its much-awaited PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 entry, Silent Hill: Downpour. It follows Murphy Pendleton, a convicted felon who escaped from his prison transport bus after it crashes, only to wander into the eerie town of Silent Hill. Konami describes it as “the most expansive Silent Hill to date,” allowing players to “embark on side missions, explore the town and piece more of the mystery of Silent Hill together.”
