Level-5 title is "epic" and "enchanting," says publisher.

This weekend, Level-5 announced Namco Bandai will localize Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for North America and Europe. In a press release sent out today, both companies commented on the deal.

“It was a momentous experience to create a game with artists who represent Japan as much as Studio Ghibli and Mr. Hisaishi do,” said Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino. “We sincerely want to share this title with the entire world.”

Namco Bandai recognizes Hino’s vision, and boasts his studio’s creation as one of their key titles for 2012.

“With such a dream team of development talent, beautiful hand-drawn anime and an amazing fantasy universe, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be one of our premier titles for 2012,” said Namco Bandai America VP of marketing Carlson Choi. “At once epic and enchanting, this is a story that will drag you in and hold you transfixed from start to finish.”

“The incredible people involved in this game give it a pedigree that is rarely seen in video games, and it’s a fantastic addition to our line-up for 2012,” said Namco Bandai Partners Europe senior VP Olivier Comte. “It takes a very hard heart not to be thoroughly enchanted by the amazing universe they have created together.”

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is due exclusively for PlayStation 3 in early 2012.

I like this new Namco Bandai.

    – Dark Souls
    – Tales of Graces F
    – Tales of the Abyss
    – Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Announce Xillia and Vesperia (PS3) and I’ll be a happy man.

    • KingdomPersona

@Sal Romano: Agreed lol and again sorry for you know what.

  • I wish Atlus though was bringing it over. We might have a special pre-order edition or something. They do better fan service. I am at least happy they are bringing it over. They could have done a better job with Dark Souls.

Besides this if they give us Tales of Xillia, I would be very very happy and have my JRPG fix for awhile.

Namco Bandai, you guys sure are on a roll. That’s the way to go about these games, that’s the type of localization I want games like this to have. Not a sloppy job, but some recognition by the entities responsible for the localization that the game actually has a chance to strive and be one of their big hitters.

Tales of Graces F, Tales of the Abyss 3D and Ni no Ku ni. I’m definitely getting these three NB, and I’ll be sure to support you more and more shall you decide to keep on giving us westerners a taste of the great games that come out in Japan :3

Why I think of Spirited Away artwork every time I see this game?

    • Sal Romano

@LordKaiser: This game’s a collabo with Studio Ghibli, who made Spirited Away.

    • KingdomPersona

@LordKaiser: Well it IS made by the same people who made that movie so that why and it look great :)
