In Binary Domain, Sega and Yakuza Studio‘s upcoming robot-filled third-person shooter, player actions do not come without AI reaction. A new trailer put out today demonstrates the game’s unique consequence system.
Players build trust/distrust with their squad throughout the game.
“Low trust results from putting the squad in situations where they could get injured, making inappropriate comments, or issuing bad commands,” says trailer narrator guy. “High trust is built by working with their fighting style and using good tactics.”
Before each mission, you can select which squad members you want to bring to the fight. These decisions are made based on how much they trust you and how much their fighting style is aligned with yours.

Binary Domain is out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February 2012.
