wh0a. released already with very little media? and at almost the same time as ff xiii-2? tri-ace really doesn’t know how to market its games. T_T such a shame.

@whiteferrero: You know FF13-2 come out in japan on Dec 15 of this year right you talking about north america date so yeah.

      • whiteferrero

@KingdomPersona: of course, unless you don’t consider a month apart release date as close.

That would be Konami. Konami doesn’t know how to market their games (since they’re the ones actually publishing this one).

It’s a shame really. Either they start actually showing us some more trailers and scans in the following weeks and reconsider the release date, or this will be one game that is destined to remain in poverty (sales wise).

@FaithlessMr: It is my personal opinion that marketing should be hand-in-hand the publisher and developer’s responsibility. The developer can always hype it online, as of course, the reason they have a publisher is lack of funds/logistics. Also, I think it is the right of every developer to PUSH their publishers into getting the marketing that the game they worked so hard to develop deserves.

Yes, I agree with you. The more people actually hyping up this game and actually showing what it’s all about, the better. But then again, the permission to do so has to come from the publisher most of the time, who simply decides when it’s time to do it.

I believe Konami doesn’t want anything to get in the way of Frontier Gate, which is to be released this December. They want to make sure everyone focus on that for now and then moves on to their other Tri-Ace RPG project, Beyond the Labyrinth. Then again, they should hype both games like there’s no tomorrow, but….I’ve come to expect big name publishers taking stupid decisions from time to time :/

              :/ indeed.

But hey, there’s still time until the game releases, hopefully they’ll show more and more of the game as time goes by. I’m positive they will, with the new screens being shown this week and whatanot.

I really wish this was a Wii U launch title.

If I had a 3DS, I’d buy this game in an instant!

  • One of the most interesting looking 3DS games in my opinion. Hope it does well.
