Resistance: Burning Skies demoed at Tokyo Game Show
Sony shared new details on Resistance: Burning Skies during a demo session at the Tokyo Game Show. The PlayStation Vita first-person shooter is an all-new entry in the Resistance series, in development at Nihilistic Software.
Sony WorldWide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida demoed the game, entering through its PlayStation Vita LiveArea. On that LiveArea, My Resistance has its own section, suggesting it may be integrated into the game in some way. There’s also an activity area, which is like a Twitter feed where people can post and reply to short messages.
Getting into Burning Skies, the game is set in New York, where firefighter Tom Riley finds himself thrown into a war against the Chimera. Weapons include a fireman’s axe… and a machine gun that shoots blue lasers. Pew pew pew! Yoshida killed a few Chimera, using the R button to shoot, the analog sticks to control the character and camera. At one point, he swing an axe into a Chimera’s neck.
Burning Skies will feature an online multiplayer component, which Sony has yet to detail. It’s out December in Japan.
Thanks, NeoGAF.
