Dark Souls moved over 200,000 units during its first week of release in Japan.
The game, a PlayStation 3-only title in the country, sold exactly 279,567 copies.
The ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, or ICO/Shadow of the Colossus Box as it’s called in Japan, sold 91,902 units. The pair was also released separately. ICO moved 7,941 copies, and Shadow of the Colossus did 13,420.
Gears of War 3, exclusively for Xbox 360, sold 56,113 during its first week.
Also in its first week, Shadows of the Damned sold 9,145 copies on PlayStation 3, and about 2,000 on Xbox 360.
Tales of Xillia, released September 8, moved an additional 22,484 during what was its third week of sales.
