The first update from Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor since its announcement at 2010’s Tokyo Game Show has come out of Gamescom 2011. Capcom released a new trailer and screenshots of the Xbox 360 / Kinect exclusive first-person action game.
Set in 2082, the game sees new superpowers struggle for dominance in a global-scale war. As pilot Lt. Powers, players will embark across the globe in a new weapon class known as the Vertical Tank.
Aiming and firing of main guns are done using the Xbox 360 controller, while a “wide variety” of other “combat-crucial actions” are done using upper body gestures on Kinect. Examples given include “starting the engine,” “operating the scope,” or “manning the turret-mounted machine gun.”
