As all Famitsu leaks go, last night we received partial details on Persona 4: The Golden, an enhanced Persona 4 port for PlayStation Vita. Today, Sokuho@Hokanko summed up additional details.
The game will have:
- 3G, Wi-Fi support.
- A new character named Marie, voiced by Kana Hanazawa. She’s a “mysterious girl” who appears before the main characters.
- If you’re about to die in a dungeon, you can send an SOS to other players. Famitsu did not entirely detail this feature.
- New event scenes.
- New anime movie scenes.
- 1.5 times the voice-overs of the PS2 version.
- New Personas.
- New character outfits.
- An element highly requested by fans.
When Persona 3 came to PSP, Atlus had to cut some of the content. When a portable Persona 4 was decided upon, producer Katsura Hashino said that they originally wanted to bring it to PSP, but couldn’t without content cuts. On PSV, they realized they can make a game better than the PS2 version. Persona 4: The Golden will retain the quality of the PS2 original and add new elements at the same time, promised Hashino.
Thanks, Andriasang.
