Acquire is bringing its Gladiator series to PlayStation 3. Announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu, Gladiator Versus is in development for the console.
The previous and only other entry in the series published after Acquire’s acquisition of the IP is a PSP title known as Gladiator Begins. The front and back of its box art featured sexy Japanese women in Gladiator bikini-wear.
Gladiator Versus is a bit more serious, however. The Kahagawa-based developer Goshow is developing the game, which features a three-player online multiplayer combat component. Single-player missions, which last five to ten minutes each, will also be available.
Gladiator Versus will release for PlayStation 3 this year in Japan.
