Ubisoft developing “new type of game” for Wii U
Ubisoft is aiming to debut a “new type of game” for Wii U on the system’s launch day. According to company CEO Yves Guillemot, the game is being put out to “test” the market.
“We will announce one game that we want to launch day one that is a new type of game, which should be interesting,” Guillemot told GamesIndustry.biz. “It is still very important, just because you can test a market and also see through the eyes of the first consumers.”
“They are the people that actually have the word of mouth factor. The trendsetters,” he added.
Ubisoft currently has five games in development for Wii U, including the exclusives Killer Freaks From Outer Space and Ghost Recon Online, Assassin’s Creed, a new Raving Rabbids, and the title mentioned in this article.
