Silent Hill Collection a PS3-exclusive? [Update]

During their pre-E3 press conference, Konami announced Silent Hill Collection, which includes both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 remastered in high-definition, for unspecified platforms. Retail listings surfaced today point to the collection being a PlayStation 3-exclusive.

Both Play.com and GameFly have only listed a PlayStation 3 SKU While GameFly lists the game as “TBD,” Play.com says its due to release by October 28, 2011. Given the scheduled late 2011 release of Silent Hill: Downpour, the horror series’ latest outing, the date sounds just about right.

We’ll mail Konami to see if they can clarify on the collection’s platforms and date.

Update 8:28pm: It seems that in the rush of news that was E3, we missed the piece where Konami confirmed the collection as a PlayStation 3-exclusive. It will include trophy support and new voice-overs.
