Xbox LIVE update: Red Faction demo, Black Ops maps, Castlevania sale

The Xbox LIVE Marketplace has been updated with several pieces of new content today. The first two, which we chose to highlight before the rest because they’re free (we’re cheap), are demos for THQ’s upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon and Warner’s LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game.

For all those on Xbox LIVE playing Call of Duty: Black Ops (that’s like ninety percent of the service’s subscribers, right?), the Escalation map pack is now available for purchase. For 1200 Microsoft Points, you’ll get five new maps — four for multiplayer and one for zombies, featuring a new cast of characters. Queue it up here.

Xbox LIVE is also hosting a Castlevania sale this week. Microsoft is offering fifty percent off your purchase of Castlevania games and add-ons, including Harmony of Despair and Symphony of the Night. See the full list of sales here.
