Xbox 360 dashboard update released, adds PayPal

Microsoft’s released the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update, adding PayPal as a payment method, to Xbox LIVE.

The new functionality allows you to link your PayPal account to your Xbox LIVE account in order to buy Microsoft Points, Xbox LIVE subscriptions, and Games on Demand titles.

While some of us may receive the update today, others may not. According to Major Nelson, they “are rolling out the Xbox 360 System Update gradually to all Xbox LIVE users starting today and throughout the next couple weeks to ensure a high quality deployment.”

The update will also include a new feature that puts your Xbox 360 in standby mode if left idle for more than an hour. This can be configured in the System Settings.
