Tales of Xillia release date, special edition, pre-order DLC announced
An announcement blowout from this weekend’s Tales festival in Japan has revealed the release date, pricing, and special edition details for Tales of Xillia.
Tales of Xillia will in Japan launch on September 8, 2011 for 8,379 yen (approx. $103 USD). A Tales of Xillia “X Edition” will be available from launch for 37,980 yen (approx. $470 USD). It will include a 160GB Tales of Xillia-branded PlayStation 3, a DualShock controller, and a copy of the game. A separate “Kyun Chara Pack” bundle includes a copy of the game, two chibi figures of protagonists Jude and Milla, a calendar, and special packaging. It will go for 12,980 yen (approx. $160).
Those who pre-order the game will receive a redemption code to download costumes of Cless Alvein (Tales of Phantasia) and Stahn Aileron (Tales of Destiny) for Jude and Milla, respectively. First print copies of the game will include a Tales of Xillia XMB theme featuring Jude and Milla.
A short clip of the pair in action, sporting the new costumes, has been released.
Additionally, Tales of Xillia will cross over with anime television series Star Driver to deliver Star Driver-themed costumes for Jude and Milla post-release.
