Sony registers new wipEout domains

Sony has registered two new domain names involving the wipEout franchise, it’s been discovered. The registrations signal the coming of at least one new entry in a series that hasn’t seen a new release in nearly three years.

The first domain, wipEoutTrinity.com, was actually registered back in November 2010. However, we’ve not yet seen the announcement of a wipEout Trinity, making the registration relevant.

The second domain, wipEout2048.com, is more recent, registered last month on April 19. If the name rings a bell, it’s because you’ve heard it before. A rumor from last month pegged a new wipEout titled wipEout 2048 as a launch title for NGP. Looks like it might be true.
