PlayStation Store returns this week
PlayStation Network is on its final step to complete recovery. Full PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will resume functionality in all territories excluding Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea by the end of the week, Sony has announced.
The full restoration of services will reopen access to the PlayStation Store, in-game commerce, the ability to redeem vouchers and codes, and full functionality for Music Unlimited and Media Go.
PlayStation Network services were partially restored in North America and Europe on May 14, following Japan and Asian territories on May 28.
“We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time.”
As for when the service will fully restore in Asia, Sony said it will provide updates “as they become available.”
