New Microsoft studio developing ‘AAA shooter for Kinect’

Microsoft Game Studios has a new development team in Vancouver. Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver has apparently been around since February 2010, but only decided to show their faces (via Facebook and Twitter pages) about a month ago. What’s more — they’re working on a triple-A shooter for Kinect.

The resume of MGS Vancouver employee Shawn Woods lists himself as “Art Director/Senior Artist” on characters for “a core AAA shooter experience using Kinect.”

Woods resume also reveals that the studio had originally “hired a team of artists to create social microtransaction games,” but later shifted focus to the Kinect shooter.
