inFAMOUS 2 trailer warns of the beast

At the end of the first inFAMOUS (spoiler alert), protagonist Cole MacGrath had a vision that a destructive force only known as “The Beast” would arrive into the world and threaten to destroy the human species. According to his vision, only he alone could stop it.

At the beginning of inFAMOUS 2 (spoiler alert), The Beast arrives and Cole fails to stop it, so he and companion Zeke retreat to New Marais to gain enough power to take it down. In the meantime, Cole’s hometown Empire City is destroyed in a flames.

A new trailer released today details that scene, touting the beast as the most powerful thing ever (I want to fight it very, very badly). Check it out below.

inFAMOUS 2 is out on June 7, 2011 exclusively for PlayStation 3.
