Bethesda and id Software‘s post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Rage will last players a good fifteen hours during its single-player campaign come its September release. Creative director Tim Willits confirmed the length in the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine.
Willits says it takes ’15-ish hours’ to complete the game, noting that “it takes our QA guys all day”.
Rage fills up two discs on Xbox 360 and a single disc on PlayStation 3.
Technical director John Carmack told the magazine that his greatest pride in Rage lies in its frame rate.
“My biggest point of pride on [Rage], and the thing I had to fight hardest for, is that it’s 60fps. And that was a battle,” he said, “because the easy way out is, ‘Everybody else is 30 frames per second.’ The things that people will line us up next to are 30 frames per second.”
Rage is out on September 13, 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
