Uncharted NGP demoed at GDC

Sony showcased the upcoming Uncharted game for NGP during a press conference at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, last night. In development at SCE Bend Studios, the game makes the most of NGP’s unique feature-set.

As seen in the clip, Nathan Drake can jump, climb, and do other stuff with the touch screens. Swiping your finger towards the top of the screen makes him climb a rope; swiping your finger down the back touchscreen makes him slide down the rope.

A bit of the melee combat is done with the touchscreen, as well. Towards the end of the clip, you’ll see swipe commands pop up on screen as Nathan goes hand-to-hand with an enemy.

Uncharted on NGP has not yet been dated. We’re guessing it’ll be a launch title for the platform, though, which comes out this year.
