Gust announces new Atelier game

Gust announced the next game in the Atelier franchise’s Alchemist of Arland sub-series during the Dengeki Game Appreciation Festival in Tokyo, this morning.

A three-minute trailer was shown at the event, which didn’t reveal the main character’s name (above) nor a platform. Given that the event was held on Dengeki PlayStation‘s turf, and that the Arland series has been PlayStation 3-only since it began, we can at least be sure it’ll launch on a PlayStation 3 platform — whether it be PS3 or NGP.

A pamphlet was given out to event attendees. Hachimaki‘s done the great liberty of scanning the pages.

On the second scan, Totori (Altelier Totori: Alchemist of Arland 2) comments on the new character’s staff, saying it’s unlike anything she’s seen. “It looks like the staffs used by Ms. Rorona and myself — I wonder if this girl is also an alchemist? Although, I haven’t heard anything about Ms. Rorona having another pupil.”

Cecilia, Totori’s older sister, comments on the new character’s breast size and clothing. Apparently, this new character’s breast size competes well against Totori’s. Cecilia also thinks her clothes are as cute as Totori’s.
