Disaster Report 4 allows map revisiting
Disaster Report 4 will include a substantial new feature foreign to past games in the series. Players are now able to revisit past maps, which may have changed depending on the circumstances.
In previous Disaster Report titles, once a player exited a map, they could never return to it, being forced to continue onward. Disaster Report 4 removes that restriction.
As seen in a few new screenshots on Famitsu.com, areas will often change form. The first example shows a local retail store on fire; visiting later on, the building will no longer be on fire and the player will be able to scavenge the debris in search for items.
In the second example, the change in time of day has brought more people to the park. We see a man sleeping on a bench, a tent set up to the left, and other small tidbits.
The third example shows a train, engulfed in fire. Coming back later in the day, you’ll see a construction truck and workers trying to clean up the mess.
Disaster Report 4 is listed for this spring in Japan.
