During a panel at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Bungie lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed that former Halo studio’s next game is a “massively multiplayer action game“.
Past rumors have stated the new Bungie game is “WoW in space,” however Aldridge debunked that statement at the panel, clarifying the game is most definitely not “WoW in space”.
Bungie announced their latest untitled project in April of last year. Published by Activision, the game will be a new intellectual property and a multiplatform affair. In January, Bungie trademarked several names, including: Seven Seraphs, Osiris, New Monarchy, and Dead Orbit; these are all possible titles for the new game.
