Spotted by the eagle eyes at JeuxVideo, we may be looking at the first-ever off-screen image of Thief 4.
The image appears on Eidos Montreal‘s redesigned website, which launched yesterday. It’s in their “Summer Playtest Department Created” gallery on the “Our Offices” page.
If the image is of Thief 4, which is likely, then both a third-person view and archery could be considered confirmed for the game. However, without direct confirmation, don’t go getting your hopes up.
Eidos Montreal is currently known only to be developing two games — Deus Ex: Human Revolution, set for this year, and Thief 4, set for a TBA release.
Update 10:29am: The image has been removed from the gallery on Eidos Montreal’s website. Another image was found before they got to it, however, showing testers playing what looks to be Thief 4 on a PlayStation 3. We’ve uploaded both images in their full resolutions below.
Update 10:37am: One more image, found on NeoGAF.
