If there’s anything good that comes out of the closure of a well-known developer, its the formation of a new studio that follows in its aftermath. A group of former Bizarre developers, who said their goodbyes last week, have started Lucid Games.
The studio’s led by Pete Wallace, former senior manager at Bizarre, who’s joined by several former members of the Bizarre staff.
“With the great history of Bizarre behind us, we are proud to be part of Lucid and are committed to the UK game development community,” said Wallace.
“We plan to build a studio which encourages open communication with its partners, customers and other developers.”
According to Wallace, Lucid is already in talks with several publishers regarding potential projects
“It’s not about qualifications or years in the industry, we are looking for creatives with a positive attitude and plenty of aptitude.
“We want to get back to the levels of innovation and creativity at Bizarre that made Activision so keen to acquire it.”
