There’ll be tons of loot to be grabbed, this May. Square Enix has announced that the Obsidian-developed sequel, Dungeon Siege III, will launch on May 31 in North America, following its May 27 release in Europe.
Dungeon Siege III sets players in the role of one of four heroes in attempts to restore the forsaken Kingdom of Ehb. Players have the freedom of choice, which may lead to consequentious decisions that might alter the storyline. The player and up to three friends can loot together online or off in Dungeon Siege III‘s seamless drop-in, drop-out co-op multiplayer mode.
Square Enix has teamed up with several retailers to offer exclusive pre-order bonuses.
GameStop
Pre-ordering at GameStop nets player two exclusive in-game items for Dungeon Siege III.
- Burning Band of Scorch – a ring that increases the raw damage of a player’s attacks and sets all foes on fire with any weapon.
- Talisman of the Grand Mage – a necklace that reduces incoming damage on the player and grants th ability to lash out with a mystical attack, injuring enemies in close-range combat.

- Bite of the Arakun – grants the player the ability to poison enemies with lingering injury or soften their defenses, leaving them vulnerable for follow-up attacks.

- Sacred Heart of the Legion – increases a player’s health and pushes close combat assailants back each time the bearer is struck in battle.

Differing itself from other stores, Wal-Mart will offer a Dungeon Siege mini-comic from Dark Horse Comics and a free mini-strategy guide from Prima Games if you pre-order at their store.
