A new Batman: Arkham City six-issue comic book miniseries has been announced, this morning. Arriving in May, the comic will “bridge the gap” between 2008’s Batman: Arkham Asylum and the upcoming Batman: Arkham City.
It’s being penned by Paul Dini, who wrote the two Batman video games, as well as Batman: The Animated Series. Artwork is drawn by Carlos D’anda, who also did concept art on the games.
“The digital first stories offer a unique incentive for fans to experience interesting and exciting stories beyond the pages in the printed comic,” said Jim Lee, DC Comics Co-Publisher, “The additional pages will serve as interludes within the regular issues and won’t be necessary to follow the main story of the miniseries. Fans will also be able to read these interludes in print later, when we publish the collected edition.”
The first two issues will arrive alongside each other in May, available in print or digital format for $2.99 a pop.
