Arcana Heart 3 announced for PSN

Arcana Heart 3, released last month in Japan for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, is coming to North America. Aksys Games announced today that the female-centric Arc System Works-developed fighter will debut on PlayStation Network this Spring. That’s right. It’s a downloadable. A PlayStation Network-exclusive downloadable.

The game, which is based around rumors of wish-granting “Celestial Stones”, features 23 fighters (3 more than the original arcade version), 23 arcana types (aka fighting styles), an “extensive” arcade-style story mode, a “Simple Mode” for first-time fighters, and a fully-featured online multiplayer component complete with online lobbies, ranked matches, ranking system, and replays.

Aksys has not announced an Xbox LIVE Arcade version of the game. We’ll try and find out why.
