Publisher Sega and developer PlatinumGames, the studio behind Bayonetta and Vanquish, announced Max Anarchy in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu.
Titled Max Anarchy, PlatinumGames’ latest venture is an online action combat game. Weekly Famitsu has the full reveal, as well as an interview with PlatinumGames producer Atsushi Inaba.
According to Inaba, Max Anarchy has the feel of a fighting game. Players will fight against other players online, where someone can strike you from behind at any time. While he says that syncing up everyone online is difficult, he does not say how many players can play at once.
Aside from multiplayer, a single-player story mode is also include. MadWorld‘s Jack Cayman is a playable character (in full color!), but he has nothing to do with the story or game world.
Max Anarchy will launch worldwide later this year.
Thanks, Andriasang.
