Microsoft has ‘no intention of abandoning core audience’
Microsoft’s said in the past that “everything [they’re] doing in the future will be centered around Kinect.” A recent interview published by IGN, however, reveals that there’s still a glimmer of hope left for the core Xbox 360 audience.
“Obviously we’re very excited by the success of Kinect,” US PR bod David Dennis told the site at CES in Las Vegas, this week. “But we have no intention of abandoning the Xbox 360 audience that bought in originally. We’re very aware of the key role the enthusiastic core audience played in making the Xbox 360 what it is, and we’ll continue to support and develop [games] like Halo and Gears of War.”
Dennis also mentioned Microsoft has a few unannounced core games currently in development.
