The third developer diary for Homefront has been released by THQ and Kaos Studios today. In it, the team talks the fight for freedom, and how this isn’t your typical “military” game. You’re not playing as civilians. You’re playing as freedom-fighting civilians.
Also an interesting bit in the developer diary is the presence of real-world brands in-game. The team says they’re “part of the fabric of American Life,” which allows the game’s future destruction of the country to hit a little closer to home. The brands seen in the trailer include: Coffe Beanery, Hooters, TigerDirect.com, JanSport, Full Throttle, Nos, Blue Ribbon, and White Castle.
There’s also some intel on the main characters, including Connor (an ex-military man) and allies Rianna (a hunter) and Hopper (a mechanic).
