Free Realms coming to PS3 next month

The PlayStation 3 version of Free Realms isn’t quite as dead as you might’ve thought it’d be. It’s very well alive, and coming to PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network in North America within the next month or so. European PlayStation 3s should get the game a month or so after.

“[Free Realms] in submission at SCEA [Sony Computer Entertainment America] right now,” SOE president John Smeldey told Eurogamer. “Once it’s done with that, once it’s through, we’ll be launching it in SCEE [Sony Computer Entertainment Europe].

“If I was a betting man,” he continued, “I’m betting sometime early February it gets launched on the PS3 in SCEA. And probably, and this is a guess, sometime in March for SCEE. And that will use a free-to-play business model on PS3.”

Free is good. When a final release date is nailed, we’ll have the update.
