Splinter Cell Trilogy confirmed for PS3 in 2011

Another high-definition update has been confirmed for PlayStation 3 tonight. Ubisoft‘s announced a Splinter Cell Trilogy, containing the first three games, will release on the Sony platform sometime in 2011.

The same trilogy was rumored to be in development back in August.

The games included, for those unfamiliar with the franchise, are: Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Yesterday, developer Crystal Dynamics confirmed they were working on a Tomb Raider Trilogy for PS3, due out in March 2011. What more HD classics could possibly await the new year?
