DC Universe online dated for early January
DC Universe Online has finally gotten a release date. Sony Online Entertainment’s announced the massively multiplayer online game will launch on January 11, 2011 in North America and on January 14 in PAL territories. Both the PlayStation 3 and PC versions will launch simultaneously.
The game allows players to create their own hero/villain and fight in missions against the opposing force with thousands of other players. You’ll be aided by the likes of Superman, Batman, Joker, and more, depending on whether you’re a hero or villain. It’s subscription-based, meaning that after the 30-day trial is up, you’ll have to shell out a good $15 every month.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can currently download a demo/beta of the game. We warn you, though, that it’ll take a significant time to install after you download. It eats up a good 5 gigs or so from your hard-drive.
Thanks, IGN.
