PlayStation 3 official headset upgraded

Voice chatting over PlayStation Network is about to get a whole lot better (no, not cross-game chat), as Sony’s announced a new version of their official bluetooth headset for PlayStation 3 is set to hit retailers this month.
It basically offers the same functionality as the headset currently on the market — dual-microphone design, easily accessible mute button, a charge cradle, and high-quality mode. The only real difference in the new headset is that it’s sleeker, glossier and 30 percent smaller than the original model. It also has built-in noise cancellation for filtering out ambient noise.
It’ll go for $49.99 when it launches — the same price as the original model. As with every bluetooth headset for PlayStation 3, you’ll also be able to use this with your cell phone or any other bluetooth-enabled device.
It looks too sexy to pass up, wouldn’t you agree?
