THQ’s released a new developer diary for Homefront today, detailing the controversial world that the upcoming first-person shooter portrays.
Homefront is set in the year 2027 after an empowered Korea invades the United States. Prior to the invasion, in 2012, North Korea dictator Kim Jon-il passed and his son Kim Jon-un took command, reuniting North and South Korea in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, the US economy began to destabilize. In 2018, Japan and Korea formed an alliance. After the US economy completely collapses in 2022, Korea began its attacks on the US in 2024. By 2026, the US army has scattered, fighting for their lives on their home front.
If the story isn’t interesting enough to get you on the clip, then maybe the fact that it’s being written by Apocalypse Now and Red Dawn co-writer,John Milius will.
