When THQ and Double Fine announced their deal to develop two downloadable games, only Costume Quest was announced. Today, THQ announces their second downloadable, which comes in the form of Stacking.
Stacking is a third-person adventure puzzle game starring protagonist Charlie Blackmore, the smallest in a community of Russian stacking dolls. Charlie can jump inside other matryoshkas, each who have their own unique abilities, and basically ‘become them’.
While not many details were shared on the story, a few gameplay elements were shared. There is no one set way of going about solving a puzzle. For example, if you need to pass a guard, you can hop into a pretty lady doll and woo the guard so you can sneak by.
Stacking is due out on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade in spring 2011.
