Ubisoft‘s announced a new initiative today set to allow gamers help build the final level of Q Entertainment’s upcoming rhythm action game Child of Eden.
Announced as “The Journey Project”, Ubisoft’s asking interested gamers to send in personal pictures that they’d like to appear in the game’s final level. Suggested examples include “smiling faces, beautiful nature shots, stunning landscape views, and other happy and positive images.” Of course, Ubisoft will approve the best shots that they receive for the game. All pictures must by submitted to Ubisoft by November 20. To do that, head to the game’s official site and click ‘Participate Now’ under ‘The Journey Project’.
“The theme of Child of Eden is ‘Hope and Happiness’ and I want players to experience happy feelings every time they play the game,” said Tetsuya Mizuguchi, Q? Entertainment studio founder and Creative Director of Child of Eden. “I need your help to convey these positive emotions, so please send us pictures that give you good vibes so we can include them in the ending of the game.”
Ubisoft’s also released three new images of Child of Eden, which we’re assuming is an example of how the pictures will be conveyed in the game. See those at the gallery.
Child of Eden is set to debut on Xbox 360 (with Kinect) and PlayStation 3 sometime in 2011.
