Final Fantasy XIV expansions already in development
Final Fantasy XIV producer Hiromichi Tanaka has revealed that, similar to its predecessor, work on expansions for Final Fantasy XIV have already begun.
“A part of the development team has already started working on expansions,” Tanaka told Digital Spy.
Final Fantasy XI has seen a number of expansions since its 2002 release. It’s had four expansions and six add-ons, two of them which are still on the way.
The producer also took the time to touch a bit on the PS3 delay, saying: “Data management took us longer than we had initially anticipated because of the issue of memory capacity gaps.”
Final Fantasy XIV launches on September 30 for PC and in March 2011 for PlayStation 3.
