SCEJ countdown is most likely for LittleBigPlanet 2

Earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan launched a new countdown website that has a Don Corleone-like character sitting on a chair knitting in a smoke-filled the room. Naturally, one would think this is a teaser for a mafia title where players must extort knitting shops, but alas, it’s not.

Found in the site’s code are images for Sackboy, everybody’s favorite mascot from LittleBigPlanet (okay, not everybody’s), and a Japanese LittleBigPlanet 2 logo. Putting two and two together, Don Corleone here is knitting his very own Sackboy to play with, because even mob bosses can have fun with LittleBigPlanet 2 – creating their own mob video platformers and what not.

What a way to tease LittleBigPlanet 2‘s Japanese reveal. How creative of you, Sony.
