After announcing Dragon Age II‘s March 8, 2011 release date at their Gamescom press conference, EA and BioWare have sent out the first three (public) screenshots and a cinematic trailer of the upcoming RPG.
Dragon AGe II takes a Mass Effect-style turn allowing players to take on the role of a character the create and name (although, all characters have the same last name) in a “non-linear framed narrative” where you have control over where your character goes and what he does.
