Microsoft flips the switch on 1 vs. 100
Microsoft has announced that Xbox LIVE’s real-time game-show, 1 vs. 100, will not return for a third season on the service.
The game was downloaded over three million times and played by more that 114,000 people at once.
“When we started on this journey, we knew we were creating an entirely new genre of entertainment that would be a continually evolving concept,” said Dave McCarthy, General Manager, Microsoft Game Studios. “We’re very proud of the ‘1 vs 100′ team and their accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming.”
All is not in vain, as Microsoft is using the technology and wisdom gained from 1 vs. 100 for “new projects that will be unveiled in the future.”
