LittleBigPlanet 2 dated; collector’s edition announced

Sony has announced the official release date for LittleBigPlanet 2 this morning. Media Molecule‘s sequel to the 2007 hit will launch on November 16, just in time for the holidays.

A limited collector’s edition will be also be available. It’ll include a copy of the game, a seven-inch tall Sackboy plushie, a game holder, and more. The full list of contents can be found below.

• Your own little “Sackboy” – 7” of plushie-goodness for you to accompany you on your journey thru LBP2.

Sony has said a Sackboy costume for everybody’s favorite Muppet, Gonzo, will be available through some pre-order program, too. Although, they didn’t specifically mention which. They’ve also said to expect more Muppets costumes to launch on the PlayStation Store after the game releases.
